Is Vending a Scam?

By , 3 February, 2010, No Comment

A lot of people are curious about vending and want to know if it is a scam or not. Well, yes and no. There are many scams involved in the vending business, but vending is also a viable home business. You need to be smart about your choices and dedicated in your pursuit. However, it’s important to note that most people who start out in vending will fail. This doesn’t make vending a bad business, but rather serves to point out that most people don’t have realistic goals and are ill suited to running their own business. Look at the failure rate of restaurants and other small businesses and straight across the board you’ll find that the failure rate is very high. This isn’t meant to discourage you from starting your own business but you need to be aware of the road blocks you face.

A lot of people think that vending is a scam because of the proliferation of businesses offering “vending opportunities” promoting  “easy money”. This is source of a lot of people’s failure in the vending machine business and if you’ve come across their stories on the net, you too may be lead to believe that vending is a scam. But vending isn’t the problem; it’s these biz op companies that are the scam. Once people are sucked into paying exorbitant prices on these company’s package deals, it makes it hard to make a profit and people end up becoming so disillusioned with vending that they start to think the whole thing is a scam.

If you do want to try your hand at a small vending route, start with some cheap used vending machines, build your route slowly and keep your debt to a minimum. This is really the single best way to start out. Whatever you do, never buy in to one of these biz op scams or you’ll end vending road kill.

Establishing Fault in Auto Accident Cases

By , 13 January, 2010, No Comment

One of the main reasons many auto accident cases go to trial is that the two parties can’t agree on who is at fault for the accident or how much fault each party is responsible for.  Every state has different laws in determining who is at fault for a car accident.  Some have no doubt liabilities laws and others don’t and will always apply proportional blame.  Make sure that before you get into legal proceedings over auto crash settlements that you know what the laws in your state are as they pertain to your crash.

One of the easiest ways of determining liability in a crash is in a no doubt liability case.  These cases are cases where there is no doubt who is at fault for the accident.  The at-fault party is assigned one hundred percent liability for the accident no matter what other circumstances conspired to create the accident.  Some examples of no doubt liability cases are crashes caused by a left hand turn, rear end collision, or drunk driver.
If your auto accident isn’t a no doubt liability case, fault for the accident will usually be determined by the police officer that reports to the accident scene.  This is where there can be contentions for who is at blame.  Usually the driver that is participating in risky behavior will be the one to blame for the accident.  If someone is found to have run a stop sign, been speeding, driving recklessly, or breaking other rules, they will be assigned all or the majority of the blame.  If the people in both cars are found to be participating in risky behavior, in many cases a proportion of liability will be assigned for the accident.
