Those of you who have dogs or cats and live in a moist climate probably have had to deal with flea infestations a time or two. Not many things can be more bothersome than having fleas in your house. If dogs and cats could talk, they would probably say that it’s more annoying that they have fleas than the fact that you have some fleas in your carpet. It’s a lot of work to go through the process of ridding your pet and home from fleas. The only way to completely eradicate your dog and house from fleas is to follow this three step process.
Step one entails purchasing some flea bombs with two chemicals in them. Chemical number one is designed to prevent adult fleas from reproducing. The second chemical should kill any fleas in your house. The first chemical is so important because if the second chemical doesn’t work perfectly and kill all the fleas, it will break the life cycle and prevent any of the surviving fleas from reproducing. It’s very important to thoroughly read and follow the instructions on the flea bombed label before fumigating your home. After familiarizing yourself with the instruction, use the flea bomb to fumigate your house. That takes care of the first step of this flea eradication system.
The next thing you want to do is take your pets to your favorite pet groomer for a thorough bath with medicated flea killing shampoo. Once they have had a thorough bathing in the flea killing shampoo, have them apply a spot on flea treatment. This spot on liquid is usually applied to the base of the neck and the base of the tail. This completes the second step.
Step number three is to use a chemical pesticide to kill any fleas that are in your lawn and yard. It’s extremely important that you don’t skip any of these three steps before going back inside your house. It doesn’t make any sense to go to all this work to fumigate your home with a flea bomb and not treat your pets for fleas because they will simply carry fleas right back into the house.
If you have more than one pet, I might recommend that you contain them in a large dog kennel while you complete the third step of this process. The completion of these three steps means that your home and pets will finally be free from fleas. I should mention that it’s a good idea to wash the dog clothing that your dog usually wears before letting them wear it again.
